|
POWER/BRILL button, single press, after magnetron warming up,
goes into standby
|
|
switch off

POWER/BRILL button, press and hold

start transmitting from standby

POWER/BRILL button, press momentarily; BRILL/CONTRAST adjustment
window appears; press MODE; press MENU/ESC to close the window
|
|
adjusting brilliance
|
POWER/BRILL button; BRILL/CONTRAST adjustment
window appears; use trackpad to change values; MENU/ESC to quit

|
MARK button, MARK MENU appears; press ALARM to display VRM ring
(dashed line); use trackpad to change its radius; VRM readout is
at the lower left corner; to fix VRM, press MENU/ESC;
to erase VRM, press ALARM button twice with MARK MENU on screen

|
EBL (electronic bearing line)
|
MARK button, MARK MENU appears; press GAIN to display EBL line
(dashed line); use trackpad to change bearing; EBL readout is
at the lower left corner; press MENU/ESC to to fix EBL; press
GAIN button twice with MARK MENU displayed to erase
|
|
display shift
|
place cursor to position of the display center; press MODE button
to show DISPLAY MODE menu; use trackpad to select SHIFT menu item;
press MENU/ESC to close the menu

|
zoom
|
zoom is used to enlarge a selected part of display; move cursor to
the center of zoom; press MODE button to show DISPLAY MODE menu;
select ZOOM with trackpad; exit by MENU/ESC

|
interference rejection
|
is used to suppress interference from other radars; press MENU
and select INT REJECTION by trackpad; press trackpad right arrow
to display submenu; select a value by trackpad up and down arrows;
exit submenu by trackpad left arrow
|
|
echo stretch
|
is used to enlarge radar marks from point objects; press MENU
and select ECHO STRETCH by trackpad; press trackpad right arrow
to display submenu; select a value by trackpad up and down arrows;
exit submenu by trackpad left arrow
|
|
FTC - fast time constant
|
is used to suppress far rain clutter; use MENU button to change
|
|
noise rejection
|
is used to suppress white noise (speckles); use MENU button
to change
|
|
heading line
|
is used to hide heading line temporarily; use MENU button and
trackpad to select; press right trackpad arrow to hide; heading
line appears again when trackpad is released
|
|
wakes (trails)
|
are afterglows of target echoes; are used to monitor target
movements; use MENU button to change wake lengths
|
|
guard zone
|
is a sectored zone around the ship used to issue alarms when a
target comes in or out; use trackpad to set the first corner of
guard zone; press ALARM; with trackpad, stretch zone to the
desired shape; press MENU/ESC; to silence alarm, press ALARM button
once; press and hold the button to erase guard zone
|
|
watchman
|
watchman initiates transmission for a short period of time
(1 minute) to check if a target has entered or exited
the guard zone; press MENU/ESC, find WATCHMAN and select
watchman inactivity interval; press MENU/ESC to exit
|
|
programmable keys
|
PROG button acts as a menu shortcut key; use MENU/ESC to assign a
parameter to the PROG key; the selected parameter is marked by P
character in the menu
|
|
setting navigation data windows
|
are windows displayed at the screen, like depth, clock, position,
course speed etc. tranferred from external navigation equipment;
use MODE button to set NAVigation DISPlay on; use MENU/ESC button to
set NAVigation DATA to set the number of items to display;
set which windows to display by (1) go into
standby by pressing POWER/BRILL with subsequent MODE (2) hide the
menu by MENU/ESC (3) press trackpad to set what to display on
which window
